SUNDAY WORSHIP // 8:30 AM CST

What to expect

One of the unique things about Armstrong UMC is our inter-generational congregation. At our 8:30 AM worship service, five generations are represented across multiple families! Therefore, the flavor of our worship service is "blended" in nature. We sing a mix of timeless favorites and contemporary worship music as part of a high-energy service that combines elements of tradition with fresh expressions of worship. Pastor Adam brings a Bible-based, life application-oriented message each week.

Regardless of who you are or what your story is, YOU ARE WELCOME at Armstrong UMC!

What to wear

Come as you are; there is no dress code! Some come in their "Sunday best," and others in jeans and t-shirts. We are a diverse family!

CHILDREN and FAMILIES

At Armstrong UMC, we recognize that children are not simply the future of the church--they ARE the church! In addition to young people playing active roles in worship, each service contains a children's moment, and Jr. Worship is available most weeks. We also have a nursery space available for parents of little ones, complete with a live stream of the service. More information about our children and youth ministries can be found here.

SACRAMENTS

We celebrate Holy Communion during worship on the first Sunday of each month. The sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism are central to our life together as a church. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, believed that Communion was one of the ways that a person could enter into relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, you do not have to be a member of the United Methodist Church to receive communion. More information on our beliefs can be found here.
